It's been months since I came back, I looked at the surroundings of my house fully decorated. Covered with lights and flowers.

“Maa, I am here” I said as she walked towards me with a big smile and hugged me tightly.

Heaven, Maa has some magic in her arms that I melt into it as soon as she embraces me. I needed this the most. “Bohot pyara lag raha h mera beta” She said as she wiped out some kohl from her eyes and tucked it behind my ear.

I smiled looking at her, “Where’s Aru?” I asked her “She’s upstairs getting ready, aap jake unhe leke aye hum car mai samaan rakhate hai.” She replied.

“Ji Maa” I replied and climbed upstairs.

“Aru, Are you ready?” I asked as I knocked on her door. Just a second later the door swung open revealing my little sister in a beautiful blue lehenga.

“Bhaiya” She said as she hugged me tightly and I embraced her in my arms. “You look beautiful baccha” I complimented her as I placed a soft kiss on her forehead and she giggled.

“How have you been?” She asked as I looked down at her, her eyes having concern. “Good, let's go, it's time to leave,” I replied shortly, not wanting to continue this conversation.

“Okay” As I nodded  she went and grabbed her phone and clutch. We went downstairs waiting for Maa and Bhaiya to come.

5 minutes later both were downstairs while bhaiya was veiled with white flowers. “Congratulations Bhaiya” I wished with a genuine smile on my face. He smiled back and replied “Let's go, you will be surprised to see your bhabhi today” I chuckled at his words.

“kyu bhaiya bhabhi itni khoobsurat hai kya?” Aru questioned. “Vo toh dekh ke batana” He teased as we all got settled in the car.

I was sitting in the back seat with Maa while Aru was sitting in the passenger seat and bhaiya drove the car as he insisted. And about Dad, he was already at the resort taking care of things.

It was a full 50 minute ride and I kept on looking outside admiring the trees and dark weather. Seems like a storm is on its way.

Exactly after the time stated we reached our destination, Royal’s Resort. The barat was welcomed with flowers, cheers and music at the back. A woman in her early 50s placed a tika on my forehead saying “So you are Vihaan’s Brother” I nodded and we went inside.

To be honest, I wanted to run back to where I was. I am not liking these functions and crowds. But i can't, after all it's my only elder brother’s wedding who came back from abroad after 6 years. I am happy for him, but I do not wish to get involved.

Everything was done and Maa was busy talking to the bride's side while Aru was busy clicking pictures. There were just 50 people in total, it seems like the bride doesn't want a massive wedding.

The priest called for the groom and I was asked by Maa to bring him from his resting room. I was going to knock on the door but it was already open, so I walked in and found no one inside. Wondering if he was in the restroom but he wasn't there as well.

I called Aru to go and search for bhaiya because he isn't in his room. It was already 20 minutes since we both were searching for him and then finally Maa called me.

“Where are you guys?” She asked, “Maa, I can't get Bhaiya, he isn't anywhere.” I said as I huffed.

“Ohfo, Just go and search for him in the bridal room, these young people are so lovey dovey nowadays.” A woman from Maa’s side spoke and I guess she was the aunt of the bride.

It's a love marriage so it's reasonable for him to be in the bridal room, but bro! Have patience, it's your wedding only. I shook my head in disbelief and went towards the bride’s room and knocked, and it was open as well.

I walked awkwardly because I did not wish to notice anything.

As I was now fully inside the room, the view in front of me made the ground slip away beneath my feet.
